Some of the things that make Australia truly special are being put at risk because our national nature laws don’t work—and haven’t worked for decades. Australia is facing a wildlife extinction crisis.

These laws have continued to allow the destruction of threatened species habitats. They have failed to protect places with world heritage natural and cultural values. They haven’t given the community a meaningful say in environmental decisions that affect them and will affect their children and grandchildren.

Will you email new Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek MP today to let her know nature law reforms are urgently needed? They need to be effective, fair and forward thinking. They need to actually halt and turn around the wildlife extinction crisis and the destruction of natural and cultural values.

Together, we’re here for nature, and protecting Australia’s amazing ecosystems on land and sea. It’s vital that our new federal government is too.
