Protect NSW forests from industrial logging

Every year, up to 20,000 hectares of public native forest is logged in NSW—that’s equivalent to over 70 footy fields a day!

These forests are some of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth, providing homes to endangered species like the koala, greater glider and swift parrot.

If left standing, these trees store more carbon, protect the climate, reduce bushfire risk and stop extinctions.

Yet they continue to be destroyed, with much of what is logged turned into cheap products like pallets and woodchips.

And what’s more, taxpayers like you are forced to pay for the destruction! Forestry Corporation of NSW is propped up by millions of dollars a year in government subsidies, despite its extensive criminal record for illegal logging.

It is possible to end industrial native forest logging in NSW. Victoria and Western Australia have already done it!

Our community of forest defenders recently helped to secure the Great Koala National Park. People power works, and together we can take action to protect other special forests in NSW.

Email key ministers and your MP now, telling them to bring an end to destructive industrial logging.

- What NSW forests mean to you and why you want to see them protected

- That 30,000 hectares of NSW forests are greenlit for logging each year, placing many species under threat of extinction
